About the Practice

Hi, I’m Jenna Hickey, LICSW, BCB —human, therapist, & founder of Soundview Therapy Center. I work mostly with adult women who feel caught in cycles of self-doubt, perfectionism, body struggles, and are looking for support in navigating life changes.

I’ve spent years specializing in eating disorders and trauma recovery, working in both outpatient therapy and intensive treatment settings. What I’ve learned is this: healing doesn’t happen through pressure or quick fixes. It happens when you feel safe, seen, and supported—exactly as you are.

In sessions with me, you can expect compassion, honesty, and probably some humor. (Therapy is serious work, but sometimes laughing at how unfairly hard we are on ourselves is part of the healing, too.) My clients often tell me they feel like they can finally exhale in therapy with me. Therapy isn’t one-size fits all: I value your unique individuality, and tailor evidence-based interventions to meet your specific goals. I am trained in the following modalities that I often pull from: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Mindfulness and Biofeedback Training, and Somatic Experiencing (SE) techniques.

A little more about me:

  • I live in CT, with my amazing partner, who is also my biggest cheerleader.

  • I love spending time with friends, family, enjoying good food, and getting creative.

  • I value authenticity, humor, and constant compassion in my work—and those values shape how I show up as a therapist every day.

If you’re looking for a therapist who’s compassionate but down-to-earth (and won’t make therapy feel like a lecture), I’d love to connect.
